Description
What historians call the “golden age of Transylvania” dates back to the reign of two princes. One prince ruled for 16 years and the other for 18 years so that there were no wars within the country, no foreign soldiers trampled on the land of Transylvania. Gábor Bethlen - became an excellent ruler: the greatest Transylvanian prince who strengthened the central government. The other prince is György I. Rákóczi, of whom we know little, although he also did quite a lot for Transylvania. They both worked for the rise of the small country, and they really managed to bring about a certain prosperity, a prosperity, for which their subjects could rightly bless them. Volume 20 of the Hungarian Kings and Rulers Series.
