Organic grapes, organic wine

The authors pass on all the knowledge they need to know about the choice of place of production, variety, cultivation area, cultivation method, tillage, nutrient supply, phytotechnics and plant protection to those who want to switch to organic viticulture. The reader will receive a detailed description of the new varieties bred in Hungary that are particularly suitable for organic cultivation. Only with this knowledge can the needs of grapes be met, which is a prerequisite for the production of high quality organic grapes. Grapes produced by organic cultivation are the basis for the production of organic wine, the steps, technological and handling moments of which, the rules and regulations to be observed can also be found in the book. The authors briefly outline the situation of organic farming in Hungary and abroad, the elements of regulation, the control organizations, the organizations of organic farming, and the trends of organic viticulture in Europe. The success of organic viticulture and viticulture farmers, presented at the end of the book, proves that this technology is feasible and sustainable. A separate chapter draws attention to the research results that we have achieved during the recent joint work in the framework of domestic and international cooperation.
